November 30, 2017 at 9:29 pmI learned how to chart 13 yrs ago but haven’t charted in 8yrs. I recently bought a new thermometer and began charting again due to an anovulatory cycle that had me not knowing if I was pregnant or what was going on with my body. I don’t want that happening again. I want to know if I don’t ovulate, or if my hormones are off, or my thyroid is out of wack.
My temperatures orally were all over the place due to my mouth being open and a little to do with room temp as well, so I’ve switched to vaginal temping this cycle. It seems to be acting pretty consistent.
My question though, is what is too low or too high for vaginal reading. For oral BBT if it’s consistently too low or too high it’s a sign of a thyroid issue, so how do I know when something is off when the vag temps are automatically higher?
